I came to St Wilfrid's as a young teacher and I loved it so much that I decided to stay! I get very excited when a new child starts our school and I can remember teaching their parent.

I have taught every year group in school and have enjoyed all of them, as they each bring different challenges and rewards. My favourite subject is maths and I hope that every child at St Wilfrid's will say, "I love maths!"

I completed my degree in Primary Education with an English Specialism at Edge Hill University just outside of Liverpool. I have been fortunate to work in a range of schools in the Yorkshire area and across the Key Stages.

Outside of school I like to try new things and go on adventures. Before starting St. Wilfrid's I spent time travelling and I loved seeing different countries and experiencing a variety of cultures and customs.

I joined St. Wilfrid's in September 2017 and I am really enjoying my time at such a wonderful school.

I completed a degree in History and Primary Education at Leeds Trinity and All Saints University. Following this, I then worked in a number of schools across Leeds and Harrogate.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the theatre and trying new things. In the past this has included skydiving, ballroom dancing and running.

I became Deputy Head at St. Wilfrid’s School in September 2016 and I feel privileged and excited to be a member of the St. Wilfrid’s community.

I studied a degree in Primary Education with a French specialism at Leeds Metropolitan University. I also attained a Postgraduate Certificate with a focus on Early Years Education. I have worked across all Key Stages throughout my training and career and I am privileged to have had the opportunity to spend short periods of time teaching in Poland and France.

Outside of school, I have two young children who keep me busy! I enjoy being outdoors and feel very lucky to have places like Fountains Abbey right on my doorstep to help keep me and my family fit and active.

I joined St. Wilfrid's in September 2016 and I am really enjoying my time here. I feel lucky to be surrounded by such a supportive team and such enthusiastic children.

I qualified as a teacher from Durham University and joined St. Wilfrid’s School in 2005. Over the years, I’ve grown both professionally and personally, taking on new roles and responsibilities within the school. It’s been a pleasure teaching wonderful children and working with supportive families. The strong sense of community here makes St. Wilfrid’s a truly special place, and I’m grateful to contribute to its nurturing environment.
Outside of school, I enjoy bike rides, playing badminton, and spending time with my family, especially over a good board game.

Mrs E Barrett

I live in Ripon and my two daughters came to St. Wilfrid's School and enjoyed it very much. I also attended St. Wilfrid's as a child and I returned in 1996 to work as a teaching assistant.

I have worked in all of the classes and it has been a privilege to work with so many children and staff.

Mrs A Bingham

My three children all came to St. Wilfrid's School. I learnt very quickly what a nurturing, caring and special school it is, not only academically but I think most importantly for the caring nature.

So when I came to work here  I very quickly became part of that caring community/family.

I love seeing the triumphs, however big or small. I also love the relationship I feel that I have with the children I work with. It's so nice to see how far they can go and to watch their confidence blossom.

Miss J Allinson

Mrs A Webber

We moved to Ripon as a family in 2012. My two daughters completed their primary education at St Wilfrid’s and I started working here in 2013.

Education is important to me and I enjoy supporting your children to get the most out of our school.

I have the relevant qualifications for the job and I bring enthusiasm and a smile with me to school daily.

The team at St Wilfrid’s school work hard to help your children achieve to their fullest potential and I am proud to be a small part of that team.

I have worked at St Wilfrid's for 17 years and every day is different and never dull.

Outside of school I love to spend time with my family, dogs, horse and sheep .

Mrs R Blythe

I joined St Wilfrid’s 6 years ago in 2019 and the time has flown by! I enjoy the variety of work we do in the office and never quite knowing what each day will bring is part of the fun. There is always someone to help you at St Wilfrid’s, children as well as staff. It’s a very caring and welcoming school and I am proud to work here.

Outside of work I enjoy countryside walks and holidays in our touring caravan with my husband and 3 children. I enjoy reading and spending time with and supporting extended family and friends. Life is busy but I wouldn’t change it!

Catering

Mrs T Jones

I arrived at St. Wilfrid's in 2005 and ever since I have enjoyed producing a fresh, healthy and nutritious meal every day for the children.

In 2007 Mrs Gordon and I became finalists in the Local Authority Catering Team of The Year. This is one of our proudest achievements at St. Wilfrid's.

In my spare time I love to walk and I always have my nose in a book!

Mrs A Gordon

I have been working in the kitchen since 2005. I enjoy working here so much that I'm still here all these years later.
